OPINION - RACISM

We think that there are some people that hate others who have different colours of skin. We agree with the people that aren’t racists.

Racism is the belief that characteristics and abilities can be attributed to people simply on the basis of their race and that some racial groups are superior to others.

Racism and discrimination have been used as powerful weapons encouraging fear in times of conflict and war, and even during economic downturns.

The American Anthropological Association says that race is a powerful idea and an enduring concept, invented by society. It has also fostered inequality and discrimination for centuries, as well as influencing how we relate to other human beings.

We are against racism because everyone is the same and should be treated equally. Whether you're African, American, Mexican, White etc… if you were to cut yourself you will bleed red, everyone does the same, there is no difference everyone is the same. Same as if you're rich or poor you will still die.

Just because people are of different skin colour that does not make them different from another human being.
