Castanyada
is a Catalan tradition that consists in an old lady that roasts chestnuts and
then eats them, sells them or presents them. She is a lady who wears poor
clothes to warm and a headscarf.
Another
typical delicacy of Castanyada is the sweet potato which is very good with
sugar. The chestnuts aren’t eaten with sugar.
We
recommended it and we think that if you toast the chestnuts before you eat
them, they’ll be more delicious.
