POKEMON CHARACTERS

Pichu

Pichu finds it easier to charge electricity on days of heavy clouds or when the air is very dry. It is possible to hear the static electricity emanating from this Pokémon. When Pichu plays with others, it can release electricity and produce a real shower of sparks. When this happens, he screams out frightened by so many sparks.

Pikachu

Every time a Pikachu encounters something new, he throws an electric shock. When you see some scorched berry, it is very likely that it is the work of a Pikachu, since sometimes they do not control the intensity of the discharge. This Pokémon has bags on the cheeks where it stores electricity. It seems that they are recharged at night, while Pikachu sleeps. Sometimes, when he has just awakened and is still half asleep, he discharges a little.

Raichu

If the jelly bags are too loaded, Raichu plants the glue on the ground to release electricity. It is common to find scorched areas near the burrow of this Pokémon. This Pokémon releases a weak electrical charge throughout its body that makes it shine in the dark. Raichu discharges electricity by planting the tail on the ground.

Munchlax

He hides food under the long hair of his body, but later he forgets it. Inside his scraggly fur he hides the food that he will then gobble up at once.

Snorlax

An ordinary day in Snorlax's life consists of eating and sleeping. It is a Pokémon so docile that it is easy to see children using the big belly that it has as a playground.

Ninetales

Ninetales emits a sinister light through the bright red eyes it has, to get control of the whole mind of his rival. They say that this Pokémon comes to live a thousand years. Legend has it that Ninetales was born from the fusion of nine sorcerers who had sacred powers. This Pokémon is really smart. Understands human Language

Lickitung

Everytime Lickitung encounters something he does not know, he licks it. It is the way he has to memorize things, by texture and taste. It cannot stand acid flavours.

Wobbuffet

If two or more Wobbuffet meet, they will become competitive and try to overcome resistance. But they may also try to endure without eating; something that the Coaches must take into account. Bobbuffet does nothing but endure the blows he receives: he never uses offensive movements. But, if they attack the tail, they will try to take the enemy with him using Same Destiny.

Girafarig

Girafarig has a brain also in the head of the tail that reacts by attacking smells and sounds. When someone approaches this Pokémon in the back, it can cause the back head to jump and bite. Girafarig's head has a very small brain to think about, but since he does not need to sleep, he can at least make Sentinel 24 hours a day.

Blissey

Blissey is able to feel the sadness through the silky fur. If it detects that someone is distressed, it will go to where it is and will share a Lucky Egg to return the smile.

Miltank

Miltank gives 20 litres a day of sweet milk that is the delight of children and adults. Those who can’t take it, opt for yogurt.

Tyranitar

Tyranitar has an imposing force; is able to break down a mountain to make its nest. This Pokémon tends to roam the mountain areas in search of new rivals to fight against.

TOO MUCH HOMEWORK

The teachers give a lot of homework so the students have too much homework to do. We don’t have time to do our things like playing, meeting friends and other things. The students have a lot of homework to do so when exam time comes they don´t have time to study for them.

The teachers when they went to school surely also complained that they were doing very hard work so they should understand the students and the hard work they have to do.

In conclusion, we believe that those who do not study have to be given more homework so that they review the topics of what have been studied in school.

SAINT VALENTINE'S DAY

This day some people that are in love give presents to each other like roses, sweets, chocolate and other things.

People usually have lunch with their boyfriend or girlfriend and demonstrate their love doing special things to each other.

Their family comes to their houses to have dinner, they go to a restaurant and there they celebrate Saint Valentine’s Day.

And then at night they go to the cinema to see a traditional film about cupid or something like a romantic novel.

DO WE NEED THE INTERNET TO ENJOY LIFE TO THE FULL?

Nowadays people are much more addicted to the Internet than

before. Some of them think that it is a necessity and that it's useful

for our daily life, whereas others think that this necessity is

becoming more and more an addiction and that its use must be

limited.

Some people are helped a lot by the Internet, it allows them to have

new relationships and be able to be connected with their friends and

family. On the other hand, the use of the Internet has become

addictive and a way for bullying people anonymously. It is used

constantly and people are always connected and cannot stop using it.

It is true that the Internet is a very easy way for entertaining

ourselves, it is unimaginable how many apps and games we have

for entertaining and having fun, but it is not the only thing we have.

Luckily, we can do way more things to have fun, like going to the

park, taking a walk with your friend or dog. Basically you have many

options to entertain yourself with something that is not the Internet.

One of the quickest and easiest ways to inform ourselves is by the

Internet. It is a very useful tool to know everything that is happening or

just for looking up doubts you may have.

To conclude, I think that as long as we don’t abuse the Internet

and its use, it can always be a positive thing in our lives.

WINTER OLYMPIC GAMES

These are the Olympic games of winter sports. During these games the competitions are ice- skating, snowboarding, skiing, bobsleigh, luge, curling, hockey, skeleton, etc…  Groups of people from almost every country go to the place where the Olympics are held and each of those people takes part in a competition.

When they are the winners, they win a gold medal and some money. Then there are two more places, 2nd and 3rd and they win a silver and bronze medal. And all of them become very famous in their countries.

WEATHER

Today we are writing about the weather in La Garriga. Yesterday evening it started snowing but it didn’t snow a lot. It snowed enough to make the cars and the tops of the houses white.

Today at about half past six in the morning it started snowing again and this afternoon it will continue snowing for a long time.

We love snow but with calm because cars can slide and you can die in an accident.

We suppose tomorrow morning we will be able to see children playing with snow and parents drinking coffee, tea or a hot chocolate with other families.

Saint Valentine vs. Saint ‘solterín’

Saint Valentine is on 14th February. It is a special day when you love another person and have a date going to the cinema or a restaurant, or stay in your house watching a romantic film and… have a very happy ending. It is possible you have a present or you give one. It needs to be a romantic present for your girlfriend or boyfriend.

Saint ‘solterín’ is also on 14th February but it is a normal day and you want it to pass very fast looking after the 15th February or you can go with other friends who are alone.

The Barcelonada

It is a type of race that starts in the centre of Barcelona.

In this race people have to follow a specific route. During this route they have to visit specific places where people have to do the activities. 

These activities consist on taking a photograph, recording a video, answering a question or answering a specific test.

One of the activities is interviewing Carles Capdevila.

KIDNAPPING IN BARCELONA

Yesterday, in the centre of Barcelona, someone kidnapped a girl. She was 15 years old.

She was walking around an empty street, alone and it was really dark. There was only a witness who saw a man wearing black clothes and following her for a long time. Some minutes later he took her in an old van. The witness also has said that the girl tried to call her parents but the man caught her mobile phone. The witness called the police but the man escaped before the police had arrived. Now the police say that maybe the man has the girl in a dark room but she is still alive because the parents of the girl have received a call from an anonymous person who said that he wants ten thousand euros if they want the girl back. This man also has said that the parents have until the following week for give to him the money. But obviously they cannot see the man so they have to put the money in a box in a specific place at night. If the family of the girl don’t do that quickly, the girl could be in danger. Sometimes, in those cases, the victims can die, so the police must hurry to solve the crime.

For the moment, the police don’t have more information but they keep researching for more proofs and marks.
